Yet, what it can’t do is tell you what that data means — what’s forming beneath the surface, what’s about to shift, and where a brand should position itself to be part of the change rather than caught off guard by it. VML had the data infrastructure. They needed the human lens to make it actionable.
We were brought in to help build The Culture Shift — a service designed to center the people who are actually creating culture and give brands a framework for finding their place within it. The work combined insight development, narrative design, and strategic architecture into something that could scale across VML’s entire client portfolio. Not a report. Not a deck. A living service with a point of view built into its bones.
The Culture Shift launched as a VML proprietary offering. Built on a single premise that we've been saying for years: brands don’t create culture, people do. Our job was to build the system that helps brands understand the difference — and act like they mean it.
